Communication & behaviour change

Build understanding.
Make action possible.

Build trust, remove barriers and support adoption. Awlers combines communication strategy, behavioural science and creativity to connect organisations’ ambitions with people’s everyday realities.

Let’s discuss the change you seek
Research to understand. Creativity to engage. Local insight to move forward. How we support you

From people to action

The right message.
The conditions to act.

From diagnosis to evaluation, we work with your teams to build interventions that connect communication, engagement and support for changes in practice.

Start with people’s lived experience.

Listen to people, observe practices and compare the data with scientific evidence. We identify barriers, enabling factors and social influences to define the change sought and the conditions that make it possible.

What you gain

  • Behavioural diagnosis
  • Stakeholder mapping

Pre-testing informs design. Feedback from the field shapes the intervention throughout the project.

The conditions for change

Change is built
with people.

What people do depends on what they know, what those around them encourage and what their circumstances allow. Our approach connects these three dimensions.

01

People and their realities.

Understand perceptions, expectations and constraints. Design useful messages and accessible tools in appropriate languages and formats.

02

Social relationships and norms.

Involve families, peers, professionals and trusted intermediaries. Open a dialogue about the beliefs and practices that help or hinder change.

03

Services and the ability to act.

Connect communication with the actual service experience. Identify access barriers and work with teams to make action simpler and achievable.

Getting started

Start with your challenge.
Design the right intervention.

How do you connect communication with behaviour change?

Communication strategy clarifies what needs to be understood, by whom and through which channels. Social and behaviour change also examines the practices, norms and conditions that help or hinder action. We combine these perspectives to design messages, tools and support for the people concerned.

Can you get involved without producing the entire campaign?

Yes. An engagement can focus on diagnosis, strategy, messaging, pre-testing or evaluation. We can also support production and delivery, working with your teams, partners and agencies.

How do you know whether an intervention works?

We define the intended behaviours and indicators at the outset. Surveys, field feedback, usage data and social listening then help distinguish reach, understanding and changes in practice. The evaluation design specifies what can be attributed to the intervention and the limits of the analysis.

Who do you work with?

Residents, service users, employees, professionals, decision-makers and community intermediaries: the people involved depend on the change sought. Languages, formats and channels are adapted to their circumstances, then tested with them.

When should we involve you in a project?

From the scoping stage, so that the conditions for adoption inform the project design. We can also review an intervention already under way, understand where it is encountering difficulties and propose targeted adjustments.
